Hot Wheels Action Pack
Snow Plowers

Some
of the latest releases in the Hot Wheels Action Pack series have shown
a marked improvement in production quality and a greater intricacy in decorations.
One of the new offerings is the Snow Plowers.
The castings utilized are 1996’s redone Swingfire (originally 1976’s
Gun Bucket) and the Big Chill Snowmobile from the 1995 Model
Series. Both castings, now manufactured in China, are clean with no flash
present. But the pleasing aspect of this set is the eye-catching paintscheme
used on both models, which have a base paint color of light blue enamel. The
Swingfire has sections of its body masked in white and yellow paint, and has
clear legible tampos in black, red and white. The Big Chill has a complex
perfectly-registered tampo design on the top and sides of the body in five distinct
colors, with very little distortion over the sweeping curves of the body. The
snowmobile has the chromed plastic motor, black plastic skis and gears, and gray
plastic chassis and treads. The truck has a gray plastic chassis, along with
an extra silver plastic plow that clips onto the nose.
The set also includes two platic figures, as is the custom with the Action Packs.
These paintschemes are the best ever to appear on these two castings.
