Now that I am not working (except on the motor coach) I am enjoying getting back into my Hot Wheels.  I spend a lot of time going to ebay and looking at what is available to see which ones I have that I have forgotten about.  I am also adding a lot of cars to my collection that way.  I am working on getting cardbacks that I don't have yet and am also trying to get a 95 67 Camaro TH.  I think I'll have all the 95's when I get one of those.  I am also buying open ones to display so I don't have to open the sets I have.  I can't wait for us to find where we want to settle so I can open the museum.  It will be open in the spring, summer and fall and closed in the winter.  Our main goal the first year will be finding where we want to live.  We want to be where it isn't too hot in the summer and then we can go somewhere warmer in the winter.

Here are a few of the new things I've added to the museum from ebay.  If any of you have any cars you are looking for or cars you'd like to sell or trade please email me.  When I sort through my Hot Wheels this spring I will be selling/trading a lot of the ones I have doubles from out of the collection I bought a few years ago.  Hard as it may be to believe my collection now totals somewhere in the area of 60,000 cars.  There are a lot of multiples I have from the collection I bought that will have to go.  I am especially looking for the pre-number cars.   I have no problem trading cars in blisterpacks for open cars that  I can display.

This is a Speed Fleet card from India.  I have the American Speed Fleet but didn't have one of the India ones.

Well, I’m back…scary as that may be. I am not working now and all I have to do is clean the house and go through my die cast cars. As I do that I will be taking pictures of all the cars and memorabilia I have collected over the years. You’ll see the Hot Wheels sleeping bag, clothes, roller skates, telephones and more from years ago.

Since starting working five years ago I have lost a lot of the Hot Wheels knowledge I have has lain dormant and will take a while to revive. I can no longer tell what car a car is by looking at the base of the cars as they hang on the pegs. I am going to be taking a Hot Wheels info refresher course as I go through all my treasures. Dennis will be hearing a lot of “I forgot I had THAT!” and “I DO have it in that color!” etc.

Dennis is still working on the greyhound…turning it into a motor home and when he finishes that we will be hitting the road. I will be picking out some of the more rare items I have to take with us to show. We’ll just sit up somewhere, post the info on the site and people can come out and see some of my treasures and visit for a while. We can’t wait for this to happen and plan on being on the road by January of next year, if not sooner. We’ll take the kids with us a few weeks of the summer so they can see some of the country too.

So everyone take care and if you have anything you want to see on the site email me and let me know.
