Why Cows?
11/7/00
I recently read in the local paper about a rancher in Roswell (New Mexico, of course) who had 24 cows die mysteriously. "All healthy yesterday, and now, look, just dead."
In the spirit of Rock's recent offering I think we need to address the question that is troubling all humans (and cows) everywhere. Why do the aliens always seek out cows? Sure there are plenty of them in the field which makes them an easy target, but pigs and sheep can be easily found also. And we all know there are more rabbits than the aliens could ever want. So why cows?
Ok, so cows are a much bigger target than rabbits, sheep or pigs. And we are all under the impression they are stupid. If they are all truly intelligence challenged does that mean that they are easily duped by the aliens into becoming tools of learning on their way to becoming cadavers? Or is there something more sinister at hand here?
I can't help but remember all those pork commercials
I've seen. Is this a plot by the Pork Association to eliminate the
competition? Are they maybe (gasp) in cahoots with the chicken farmers?
Is the alien thing just something dreamed up by these two groups to throw
suspicion on someone beside themselves? Sadly this, like the mystery
of Jimmy Hoffa, will never be solved. Hey, maybe Hoffa was working
for the Pork and Chicken farmers and ended up knowing too much for their
safety. ;-) Till next time, Trish
