Stoneman has inspired me to write again about HW's and diecast, well sort of. That
and the fact my column was removed from "archives" and into "additional columns" has given
me a renewed view of the future. What a difference a heading can make. Anyway
I have been doing a lot of writing, but not for CB's. See my newest hobby, and one
that I've been doing for a couple of years now is H.O. slot car racing. I've written
in the past about this so I won't belabor the subject further at this point. Another thing
I've been doing is writing Haiku. Why? I don't know. I just sort of fell into it.
Looking for Hot Wheels
See, I've realized that the pursuit of Hot Wheels doesn't have to mean "find new" all of the time.
I have lots of Hot Wheels that I REALLY like but never bother to look at because I'm always looking
for the next FE. I took some time the other day to break out a couple of my storage boxes of
Hot Wheels and it was like finding them al over again. "Oh yeah!! I forgot I had that car!
Cool!" I was exclaiming for an hour or so. My wife thought I was going nuts but then
she realized I've been there for quite awhile and so she stopped worrying about it. Common
enough cars like the Orange Cuda convertible, or a bright red `57 Chevy actually bring a smile to
my sometimes crusty visage.
An Orange Cuda or
The Rockinator
Love, ROCK. (In HO slot racing, I'm known as TheRockinator ... in Haiku circles too!)
In all the wrong places.
