I really don't know how to start this off except to say "will wonders never cease"?  Here we are in the midst of several law suits among the members of the Collector community and here we are putting up with a self proclaimed god of this hobby with enough pomposity between him and her to last me a lifetime.  I have even seen articles on the web suggesting that toys from these people be boycotted.  Not a bad idea actually except for the number of you out there that would let a profit motive over ride everything that is honest, fair and just and buy the cars anyway.  I long ago sold and gave away any Limited Edition stuff I had that came from these people and I flat out
refuse to buy any of the toys that they have produced or front the money for.  I WILL BUY NONE....PERIOD.  Well, gee Moses, why don't you lay it on the line for us so maybe we can justify not doing business with these people?  OK.  I will!

1.      A good friend of mine happens to be the guy that used to be the head of the toys we so cherish.  He did a lot of work for the last gathering of Collectors held on the West coast. (I can't use the word convention because these two might think that they have that copyrighted too and far be it for me to stir the pot on that one).  At any rate everyone that was anyone and helped with this gathering of collectors was recognized by these two in their late and outdated way too expensive rag.....except my friend.  My friend asked why and was ignored...not a nice thing to do to the person that literally launched the program that started all of this.  Something about "what have you done for me lately" was heard in the earpiece of my friends phone.  Guess what guys?  He will never again. Nope, not never.

2.      When the advertising for this last gathering of collectors was begun, CB's placed an ad on the site.  CB's was immediately directed, not asked mind you, to remove the reference from their site by one of these two people.  Well low and behold children, CB's had the express permission of the manufacturer of the toys we collect to post this message.  Some of the other sites received left handed apologies but not CB's...nope not from these two.

3.      These people front the money for several Limited Edition type cars every year including a major hot rod club.  Word has it that the club receives 1000 of each of their yearly cars from these benevolent benefactors for fronting the money.   Lets see now does the word usurious mean any thing to you boys and girls?   1000 cars cost $5000...OK  That leaves say 9000 for the benefactors to sell at  say $10 each.  If my math is correct that is like $90000.  Less the $50000 to have them produced leaves a tidy sum of $40000 as profit (before taxes).  Oh, and I'll bet the benefactor uses the 1000 cars (@$10 each) as a tax deduction...wanna bet kids?  Anyone else want to start fronting $50000 for say a $20000 return.  I'll  bet you can do it next year.

4.      One site, as we speak, has been directed by these same people to remove  photos of Limited Editions from their site for apparently violating some sort of copyright. I am not an attorney and don't pretend to be but it seems to me that this would be free advertising at the very least for these people.

The list goes on and on and on but after all, see why I do not support their endeavor into free enterprise?  And I dare say a lot of you would feel a lot better about yourselves if you didn't too.

I reckon it's ok to make a buck but somehow all this just doesn't seem right.  The same goes for all of you out there that rush to the stores to buy everything in site and then go post it on that auction page thing.  And let me tell you this.  When you buy all this junk and then can't sell it and return it that is called loaning.  Retail stores are not in the business of loaning you merchandise.  Tell ya what Bubba.  I'll buy all the stuff you got at whatever price...IF you give me return privileges (NOTE THE DARN WORD PRIVILEGE MEAT HEADS) so I can return them to you when I tire of them or when I can't turn them for an even bigger profit.  Oh, and all you flea market types...never grab a car off the rack in front of me again...not when
there are 2 racks and you took one and I took the other...just never do that again.  And one other thing...when there are 10 people in front of a major chain store waiting for it to open at 8 never never never tell people how much you know about this hobby or do sidewalk lectures on this hobby, after only two years in it, because you never know when Moses might be standing right there, right George?

HAVE FUN

MOSES
