1 Series names weren't designated until the 1969 model year, but these
are the categories that the 1968 castings were assigned to.
2 The cars were offered in assorted transparent and translucent colors over
nickel plating, known as Spectraflame. Official 1968/1969 colors were red, lavander, orange, gold, lime, green,
blue, blue fog, brown and purple. However, many of these colors are recognized today by
different names. In addition, there were additional colors offered at this time that were not
recorded in the Collector's Catalog.
3 The early versions of the Hong Kong casting had open hood scoops, and the air filter
on the engine was visible. This was closed on subsequent castings.
4 The Custom Camaro and Ford J-Car were also available in white enamel. The
Custom Camaro is extremely rare in this color. The Ford J-Car was readily available, although
the Hong Kong version was more common than the U.S. version.
5 Early versions of the Hong Kong casting were also available in green enamel.
6 The original casting from Hong Kong was tooled without a sunroof. These cars
were sold primarily in Europe. Subsequent Hong Kong castings included the sunroof.
