I collect Hot Wheels because it is fun. I will stop when it isn't. Although it can get discouraging at times, its great when you manage to find a car you don't have. I only have one Treasure Hunt in my collection. I've never found one on the pegs yet and I won't pay markup prices for one (got mine by sending $1.50 and three card backs to Mattel). Started by only collecting the cars I liked. The majority of my cars are opened and except for color or other variation I have very few duplicates. The only cars I have multiples of are I plan to repaint or customize. Customs are new to me. Although I'm not very good at it, its fun to try. Sometimes they turn out great. Another plus to collecting is I've met some nice people on the net and at the pegs. There, said my bit. Remember, if it becomes a pain to collect, then don't. Agent 86 |
